Judy VanZandt

I am a married mother of 2 twenty-somethings and work full time as the Director of Finance for a large optometry practice in the Denver metro area. I began scrapbooking about 16 years ago and discovered card making after receiving a card kit as a gift with a scrapbooking magazine subscription. That was about 10 years ago and I've never looked back. Card making has become my passion.

I started my blog, www.jvzcreations.blogspot.com (Created Just 4 U) in August of 2013 and enjoy participating regularly with many card challenge blogs.

Currently, I am on the design team for House of Cards Challenge Blog and have been a Guest Designer for 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and Guest Star Stamper for Color Throwdown.

I am a daughter, sister, friend and mom to 2 amazing children. I have been a scrapbooker, cardmaker for 14 years. My artistic style has evolved over the years and I find that I am drawn to mixed media as it allows me to try new techniques and products. My passion for learning and expressing myself through my art has allowed me to grow as an individual through challenging projects and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

In addition to scrapbooking and cardmaking I enjoy dabbling in my art journal, tags, making mini albums, canvas’ and off the page projects.

I enjoy meeting fellow crafters and hope to inspire others through my creations.

I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls. I also home school them so although I don't have much spare time, you can always find me creating when I do.

I am fairly new to scrapbooking but I have always been interested in mixed media and collage.  I am a traditional artist and have always dreamed about being an illustrator. I am always excited to share my work and see other's work as well!

I live in Huntington, WV. My home is full of my furry (and not so furry) kids and my crafty creations.  In fact, crafting has overtaken my home.

Lots of inspiration comes from my family, my: hubby, 2 daughters, son, 3 granddaughters and my grandson.

For over 20 years I was a nurse, but Fibromyalgia knocked my legs out from under me.  Now I spend as much time as possible enjoying my family and crafting.

My real passion is scrapbooking and all sorts of paper crafts.  Playing with paper dolls is my favorite pastime, so I am delighted to be part of Charlene's design team.

My favorite place to get C Thru The Woods stamps is my LSS, The Scrapbook Page, in Barboursville, WV.  The owner is Maxine Hodges.  She and the scrappers there have taught me so much!  Scrapping has helped me meet so many fun people and I have made many fabulous friends.

I plan to revive my withered blog in the near future, hoping you will join me there. You can also find me on Facebook: Donna Woods (Donna Riley).

My grandmother taught me the importance of scrapbooking when I was 5 years old. I love looking back and seeing my first written words and photos of friends on those pages. Since then I have mainly scrapped for 28 years. I dabble in cards for close friends and family (birthdays and holidays). Cricut is more up my alley. I collect the machines and cartridges...lol!

I won my first girl doll stamp at a crop in may of 2014. Since then I was obsessed with them! I googled and pintrest searched doll stamps and discovered C Thru the Woods. Fell in love all over again and have had a blast making tags instead of cards.

I have a blog : http://memurz.blogspot.com/?m=1

That blog was used for a few years to keep track of those studio g dollar stamps. I found myself with so many I had to stop! Fortunately those little stamp sets come in handy with accessories or phrases to use with my doll tags. I will be posting more of my creations on my blog.

I’m a late Bloomer! I won my first Easter coloring contest when I was five and was hooked on art ever since. I spent the majority of my childhood doodling fashion sketches and reading about fashion history. I took a small detour and studied Fashion Merchandising after high school but waited until age 35 to follow my dream of studying art. I’ve always had an odd fascination with fabrics and fibers and have often been spotted touching, crumpling and smelling fabrics in stores before purchasing an item. Though fabric is still one of my first loves, I discovered the allure of paper, metals, wire and sculptural forms through my studies at UW Parkside. While one can see my love of fashion in the art that I am doing today, it also shows my evolution in a more tactile, textured and sculptural way.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at UW Parkside in 2013 with a focus in arts and crafts. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, card-making and creating artwork in my free time.

I am the quintessential California girl! I love the sun, beach and the stars…No, not those stars. The ones that line the infamous Hollywood Blvd! I hail from the thriving metropolis of Fresno; Right smack dab in the middle of the great state that is California. My biggest gripe is that Fresno doesn’t have any local scrapbook stores to feed my addiction, so I have to take a fantastic voyage down Interstate 5 to get my fix.

My crafting personality is simple and classic with a twist of whimsy. I love sparkly things, what girl doesn’t?! I also hoard paper...Doesn’t everyone?! You never know when you’re going to need that gorgeous paper to finish a project. I stalk designers, um, I mean I watch other designers on YouTube, some would say obsessively. I say that I’m doing research. I’m a sucker for a new technique!

Come with me and we’ll C Thru the Woods together!

Oh, and I love cupcakes, baseball, firemen (Stan, I see you), New York City, and the United States of America.

I love Arts in general since I see art as being many things. I enjoy cooking, baking, woodworking, fashion designing, singing, dancing, cardmaking, scrapbooking, hair designing, creating, beading, crocheting, learning and many more. I work part time and enjoy crafting during my free time; moreover I enjoy sharing my work, knowledge and experiences with others, and on Youtube or social media sites to bring a different twist to the traditional art.

My scrapbooking and paper craft has started 2 years ago, and is also my new passion. I can’t tell you enough how much I love pretty papers. Limor webber is the first person to inspire me and made me fall in love with mixed media. She also resides in Edmonton, and it was an honor to meet and be in her classes. I can’t thank her enough for her inspirations. She bring light to the mixed media world.

Shabby chic, Vintage, Baroque, Fresh, Pastel, Flowers, Butterflies, Laces, Ruffles, Fabrics, Mixed Media, Crystals and Blings are my favorite things to use as a theme, background or as an embellishments. I like to challenge myself with different things to improve my knowledge, and broaden my horizon in arts.
